Australia Mission
Work
We are very blessed to have a
partnership with Craig and Tomya Peters who serve as missionaries in Australia.
In 2007 Craig and his family began a work with Macquarie where they trained
men and women for effective, culturally relevant ministry in the modern world.
While working with Macquarie Craig and Tomya were able to speak in many
different venues that helped equip and strengthen young couples, teenagers, and
young adults.
Starting in 2010
Craig was given the opportunity to serve as the director of the STAMP, a
ministry of the Gosford Church of Christ in Gosford, New South Whales
Australia. STAMP, or Short Term Australia Missions Program, is a new and
exciting program that offers a spiritual, educational and service experience for
young Christians in Australia and New Zealand.
The purpose of STAMP
is to provide an opportunity for young people (18 to 25) to participate in a
year long program of learning and ministry within Australia. The course will
comprise 6 months of "in class room work" at Gosford, on the Central
Coast of NSW, followed by a 6 month field assignment at a congregation within Australia.
Each student will also participate in vocational training using the TAFE NSW
Open Training and Education Network for the 12 month duration of the program.
